As we embark on another year of creativity, we continue to enjoy working from our new office space in Maroochydore surrounded by a local buzzing community.
Our decision to work from a smaller, boutique office environment was one of many. After the lock-down of 2020, we were keen to strip the corporate perception and search for a space that provided a real ‘design studio’ feel about it – something we could call our own without sharing floor space or elevators.
We also wanted to provide the team with a flexible working arrangement as we had quickly learnt to adapt and communicate remotely, while accelerating to a whole new level of productivity. Trust and accountability was key, so we embraced the opportunity and re-structured our internal processes and business approach.
Whilst we appear small on the outside, our team and creative ideas remain big on the inside. We have since recruited new staff and added additional services to our creative repertoire to ensure our unrivalled quality of design, priority servicing and direct-to-creative access is maintained.
We continue to provide our full service capabilities, while delivering inspiring creative outcomes driven by research, strategy, and a never ending passion for originality.
As a collective group of creative individuals, we offer a team with refined talents and over 60 years of combined industry experience. Our competitive advantage to most design agencies here on the Coast is our Creative Director – who not only owns the business but runs it, while ensuring the level of creativity is of the highest quality.
Mark Johns – Creative Director (In-house)
Mark is a visionary creative with more than 25 years’ experience in the design and advertising industry. Mark’s strategic thinking, creative output, and ability to forge strong working relationships with clients, many of whom are in the property industry, as well as management and suppliers has naturally progressed into running his own successful business.
Charmaine Woodison – Account Director (In-house)
Charmaine is the Account Director at Marx Creative, providing strategic advice and project management with Marketing Managers, Property Developers and businesses owners. Her passion is to understand client’s needs, providing them with the guidance they need to develop and grow their business or organisation, working with brands that have purpose – brands that engage with communities, have meaning and make a real impact on people’s lives.
Kierra Walters – Production Manager (In-house)
Kierra heads up the studio as the Production Manager and is responsible for the scheduling and delivery of work. Her organisational skills are unsurpassed with a National Diploma in graphic design and previous roles in print production. Kierra’s role entails the management, functionality and efficiency of the studio.
Marc Colette – Senior Designer (Off-Site)
Marc’s industry experience spans across design studios, ad agencies and the public sector, bringing a diverse knowledge and skillset in creative brand strategy and team leadership. His mature approach at coordinating multiple projects whilst meeting deadlines under pressure provides a fine-tuned level of organisational and forward-planning skills .
Ethan Entz – Designer / Web Developer (Off-Site & In-House)
A hard working, self-motivated designer with a creative flair and a sharp eye for detail, Ethan has over 10 years of industry experience, and has extensive knowledge across a wide range of print and digital applications, including graphic design, video production and website development.
Jason Donald – Senior Web Developer (Off-Site)
Jason has developed hundreds of websites during his career and builds highly functional, responsive, and modern sites with clean and efficient code. Jason is focused on developing websites that serve their purpose while captivating the end-user. He is a WordPress expert and is across all modern web development trends and technologies.
Jennifer Skabo – Content Coordinator (Remote)
Jen brings her Bachelor of Arts degree and over 15 years of small business development, marketing/sales, professional photography + writing skills experience to Marx. Her travel writing, scenic and lifestyle photography has been published in various Australian travel magazines and across many digital forums.
